Program
20 beds available for individuals leaving Harris County Jail with no safe place to live. These beds are intended to be short term-term in nature and offers a smooth transition as individuals find appropriate living arrangements. Estimated stays of 3-5 days.
Voluntary – our guests are free to leave our facility at any point in their stay. The Jail Re-Entry program is located within The Respite, Rehabilitation and Re-Entry Center, a non-lock down facility.
Eligibility
Persons on bond for non-violent offenses pending criminal charges.
Services
- Temporary housing in a safe environment
- Healthy meals
- Therapeutic and life skills groups
- Clothing
- Assist with social services: SNAP benefit application, gold card application, long term housing application, etc.
- Peer support
- Individual counseling
